Why are most of the gorgeous newly planted trees right under the power lines, when the old beauties had to be removed because they were right under the power lines?

Red maple, honey locust, and Bradford pear trees line the road where majestic elms once stood.

  1. It is possible that the work could not have been done with the large root systems that would not have survived anyway due to damage. But the placement of the new trees IS questionable. It just goes to show you… 1) it takes a village to run one and 2) the world is run by those who show up!
